Board Vice President
Jody (Jo) Michael is a Program Manager working with people who have a passion for making disABILITIES disAPPEAR. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and has dedicated her career to advocating for people with disabilities. Jo and her wife, Dina, who is a Registered Nurse, have lived in the Kansas City area for over 20 years. Previously, Jo served on the Board of Directors for the West Plaza Neighborhood Association and co-chaired West Plaza Music in the Park. She is an alumni of the University of Missouri, Center For Neighborhoods Cohort #4 Leadership Program. Jo’s motivation to join the Board of Directors was driven by her passion to collaborate with a team of people to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and equitable LGBTQIA+ community in the Kansas City, Metro area. Jo’s down time is spent with her grandchildren doing what they tell her to do.
